i believe that if Murali wants or the Australian Cricket Board requesting his contribution. he must respect that, forgetting what happened at the World Cup,when Mr. Arjuna Ranathunge Captained the Team. Because that is what you called TRUE SPORTS. That is the CORE MEANING of SPORTS.
No path is a path if you see no people walking or moving here and there. There is very little that you can learn if there are no people around. Yes it is true that lonely paths also teach you things but that are different things. The paths provide you different pictures at different times of a day. During mornings it is very different and during dark it is unbelievably unexplainable. You see ‘no end’ point in analyzing these paths, the travelers, and the people we see, i believe.

On students of Science faculty of the Jaffna University TENDERLY .................
Now, what were the reasons for the Students of the faculty
of Science of the University of Jaffna to fight with each other? Now there is
Peace in that Land of ours. No terror of LTTE. According to my justifications,
there are no reasons for them to be frightened. Now why can’t you study
peacefully? No LTTE leader will come and drag you asking to join the group. Now
what is the issue you have?
If you have any issues you can directly contact the ‘Head of
the Faculty and the chief minister you have appointed by voting? Am i right?
You have Mr. Sambandan in the Parliament , talk to him and
ask if you have any issues to be solved without trying to break the human
rights of a peer, who have faced the same government exam, who are following
the same course of study like everyone else in the country. I have a feeling
that if you ask Mr. Sambadhan he would not hesitate to donate his salary even
for the sake of the people of this country. He is that caring about us.
Without fighting with each other based on what ever reason,
you can obviously help the ‘people affected by the Salawa incident. Take your
‘group and lead towards Jaffna. You can‘t wait till the government handling
that patiencefully. Haven’t you heard about how some ‘student leaders’ / students
councils acted in the past for the sake of the students on behalf of their
rights, though you can ignore some of the ways they have acted?
My Congratulations
people! You are about to experience the 6% bus fare increasement from 1st
August onward. I’d love that rate. Isn’t that something thrilled to hear? I do
not know why the Rivira, daily paper has given the news a big space and used
big letters, highlighting the news. Did
you ask the minister of Transport affairs, sorry the President before publishing
the news? Is it that big news for the
people of the country, for your paper to give it a big place?
Ah!
GAS is still in safe hand. But until when we can obtain the GAS for the current
rate, till the small election ends?
Finally the Government managed to please the Prince of Human
rights by releasing the Master or the former Master of LTTE, George Master.
Congratulations for all the masters for their achievement! And for all who took
care of the decision and the masters who supported the decision! My question is
not that, did papers highlight the incident? Do not know whether the Prince
managed to read the news of government releasing the master.
Now
let me relate this some of the changes to the current VAT CHATS. According to
the authorized there will be no change in VAT in the future. For me, it is a
big CHANGE that we have not experienced before, the community of Entrepreneurs
have experienced before. And the other
change is this our government gave us the chance to feel the marvel of 8 rupee
minimum bus fare for about more than one and a half years, that the previous
government was unable to give.
And
the other change is the Government is willing to give the chance for the MP’s
of the parliament to obtain a five million package of money (Loan) for a twice
lesser than the interest rate that the ordinary people are paying for the loans
they obtain from any local bank/s. Isn’t that a big change? Now let us try to
calculate this. let us assume that unlike the number of secretaries work for
ministers increased (i cannot remember the exact number of members in the
current parliament, obviously it cannot be a number that existed in the past,
because that was one of the things that people (including the present members)
highly criticized as a fault of then government) the total number in the
parliament is 225.And out of them 50 are getting or applying for this gifted
chance. How much money the banks will have to release for them? The banks will
have to provide 25000 million rupees in total as loans.(50 members x 5 million
each) How much money / profit, the banks will have to loose, annually or
monthly, and until the members paying back the loan?
And according to my awareness 50, 000 rupees isn’t enough
for the People affected by the Salawa incident to re build their houses. I
assume that they would be getting more in the future up to 500 000/= at least?
If that is not the plan, the Government can easily give them the chance to
obtain a loan from a local bank for no interest rate? And that can be added to the category of
‘welfare development’.
what
else the present welfare government has or is giving for the MP’s as benefits,
encouraging charges; Free or no interest entity permits / license for them to
run a business, and luxury car permits, why do the, members who are so eager to
serve the people of this country needs such benefits that the people of this
country are not getting and paying, bearing all burdens paying high taxes?
Mr. Prime Minister, it is so heart soothing to hear that you
went to Singapore ad visited an Institute and signed an agreement to support or to
nourish the enterprise sector of the country. And what advice you expect from
them, sir? What if they suggest you must give them VAT sahanaya first to
encourage the business sector people. And Low interest rate loans for the
people who dreaming of starting an enterprise and at least for about first five
years a low tax rate or releasing them from tax aches and pains, especially for
the fresh beginners. What if they suggest in order to popularize the business
sector and to earn some demand first stop turn over rates by releasing some tax
pains from them, and to stable the country’s business sector what if they
suggest you to stop people closing their businesses and start growing pine
apple or apple in their gardens or perhaps ‘pol’ (coconut) instead. Would you
agree? and what if they ask you first check ‘how some of the earlier earned a
good profit organizations now give their share holders a poor dividends because
of some people stopped coming to buy goods
from them because the company’s have increased the prices of the daily needs to
cover their TAX charges?
What if they suggest you sir, first check how many
people have bought a car or a three wheeler since you have raced the ‘tax’? And
how the Car Business Operating people survive in their sector of business? Indra
how much did you sell last month? Gimsara, thamanna, sun city, how much did you sell this season?
Royal Car, how much did you sell after government increasing the tax rates? What
if the Institute in Singapore asks you to first do a little survey to get a
picture of what requirements or needs is lack or barring their enhancements?and
what if they ask you to check with dear Finance companies what is the current
rate they are charging compared with the past, when people come to their door
steps to get a loan to buy a three wheeler for instance? Would you agree?
And when people do not buy the quantity they require, there
is no way the companies can sell their products, and then what are the results
you can expect? ‘How can they pay the loans they have taken to nourish or to
begin the enterprise? What if they ask you to empower people by organizing awareness
programs on the topic ‘how important it is to begin an enterprise of your own’
for instance?
What if the institute suggests you to stop welfaring the
members of the parliament too much and give that benefit to the people of the
country, and for the people who are sorrowfully running their businesses? Would
you agree?
Any ways, congratulations for the agreement signed! Sir, do
we have a business sector development Centre / dept. in the country?Do you
still have the Small, Medium Business Sector development loan scheme
functioning? What is the minimum amount you release for them and for what
interest rate?
Now i
have a question to ask from the JVPian’s , how much money that you supported
minister P.C. Ranawaka has stolen? From he headed ministry? You must be joking?
In that case how can we trust what you say during presidential or any other
election campaigns? People voted him thinking he is a man they can trust? He
earned how much votes contesting under no. 1?Now,i like to hear your LOGIC in
this matter.
And
by the way, if you say that there are still people in the camps in the Northern
Part of the country; can you take the challenge to re settle them within a six
months time?Or within 5 months time? How many families since you become the
chiefs of the country, manage to re settle those families in their original
lands? how old is the government now?
Look!
we can’t give you too long to correct what you were pointing out? and at the
same time you need to take care of the rest of the development, infra structure
, town development etc. and any plans to abolish the Executive presidency
totally sirs?

Hey, Guys , friends, people, no foreign Judges will be arriving this country in nine months time, confirmed the President. Isn't that brilliant Commissioner of HR, UN ?
According to Divania , in about nine months time, there will be some changes within the High Courts system of the Country. (Read last week's Irida Divaina for more information) But at a function held about couple of days back, in Kandy, the President of the country has confirmed via his speech delivered that the government has not taken such decision and he is assured that ' until he administer the country, the government not let the Foreign Judges and systems to be established in the system of local courts system/ in the country. The Same information, The Diviaina has reported little below to the head line which carried the news related to the ' Foreign Judges.
So after seen that , i was wondering of the reasons for the president to get angry about the news?
All what we can do is, friends ' wait and see'. how things will proceed.
According to my knowledge the Paper do not release / publish such information unless they are highly sure about the news they get and unless they collect such information from a responsible person ( i.e authorized persons such as the Minister of Foreign Affairs or any other).
If ministry of Foreign Affairs have not received any confirmation letter /s , mentioning above mentioned facts, decisions, from the UN High Commissioner of Human Rights, Prince Al Hussain, both institute (UN and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or related institution) can confirm it to the people of this country.
Kindly, release the letter / e mail if that is not against institutional procedures to the Media, since according to government they highly respect Media Democracy , that will not be an issue, right?
And the other issue here is that if the Ministers or the officials of the Government (the institutions directly deal with such issues / information / relevant official activities / matters) releasing information to the Media based on what ever information they receive , notifications of the decisions taken by the said institutions for example, and at the same time, the government refusing or say such are not correct , it is an issue, not for them but for us. perhaps they may be following official rules and regulations. The people are not aware of it, unless they tell us.
And the other issue is if the Ministers of the government do not aware of the decisions taken by the President of the Country, or what he dream about or think about that is something that should be corrected immediately. According to my knowledge. apparently it is an issue related to 'Transparency'

Dear Kind Minister, Karunanayake,
I have no idea to begin a
debate with you. Yet i have something to
remind you.
It is not the previous
government or the MR government who destroy the Economy of this country. It is
the 30 year long LTTE issue or the some fed Terrorism which destroy the Economy of the
country. This is my personal view and I believe it is the view of most the people
of this land.
I like to ask Honorable Former President Madame CBK, Dearest Madame kindly reveal, the people of this country,
total amount of money you spent or allocate each year, during your governing period for the WAR / WAR related Activities?
And kind Sirs and Madams of the
Governments / Administrations, Earlier to the administration of Madame CBK,
kindly provide us the data as to how much money did you really allocate or spent
each year, for each and every activity of the war, during President JR ,
President RP or even after, during the short administration of DBW?
And former President MR Can i
am sure re issue the details, if any of the citizens or ministers of the present
government asking for details. how much money his government spent on terrorism prevention humanitarian war activities?
And dear intelligent Minister,
getting the data what you can do is ……….
i.e.
The total amount spent during
the administration of President JR =?
” ” ”
of President RP =?
” ” ”
of Madame CBK =?
” ” ”
of President MR =?
total money spend = ?
( if you have any data on any of you know people spent any money on buying or providing what ever the LTTE group needed, kindly add that as well)
compare the situations then with current. And calculate how much money you can save today specially when your government has to spend 0% for any war activities .
Kindly note that above expenses
can be provided under categories of ‘total expenditure / spent on war activities’ during said periods and
for ‘the Re building, re structuring the destroyed entities (not only
commercial but also other properties) only if any of the said or mentioned governments spent any money on rebuilding or rehabilitating work during on going war activities) And if you like you can refrain from
calculating the loss of Human Resources for the time being.
And for an intelligent Minister
like you, i do not think that it is necessary to mention , IF THE WAR EXISTS
UNTIL TODAY, HOW MUCH MONEY YOU REPRESENTING GOVERNMENT WILL HAVE TO ALLOCATE AND LIKE
THE OTHER EXPENSES INCREASES DAY BY DAY NATURALLY WHAT EVER EXPENSES RELATED TO
WAR ACTIVITIES FACE THE SAME DESTINY OF ‘SKY HIGH PRICES’. I DO NOT THINK THAT ANY OF SUCH EXPENSES WOULD
STAY STILL OR STAGNANT FOR ANY REASON.
Dear Minister,now considering
every above factor, tell , the people of this country HOW MUCH MONEY THE MR
GOVERNMENT HAVE SAVED FOR THE CHILDREN AND FOR THE FUTURE OF THIS COUNTRY BY STOPPING THE WAR PERMANENTLY?
And if you
think that former government has spent nothing for
the infrastructure development plus and plus forget it.
HAVE A PEACEFUL DAY!

Coalitions, Allies and their memberships
I
do not know what lead UK to quit from the membership of Common Wealth (?) that
is solely their decision and no other country can intervene or force them to
change their decision. I have no right
to write something opposing to their decision unless the English’s do so, that
is something directly or indirectly affect their inner plans / strategies,
social, economical or political or otherwise.
Yet,
i like to think about it in another angle. Why a certain country / countries
become or get a membership of an international organization? What were the
objectives, aims and desires of the organization? What is their VISION &
MISSION? I think there is no harm in analyzing such. Whether it is EU or any
other organization formed to address the welfare or development of a certain
region or a continent.
If UK says they are no longer responsible or they have
nothing to do with what so ever happening in the countries that they formed or created,
set up a kingdom of colonies that is their standard or policy and they can quit
from the organization formed to address the issues or wellbeing of the former
colonies now independent countries. Last
time the related sessions were held in Sri Lanka and the chief guest was the
Crowning Prince, Charles. If their
hearts ad minds and brains say, we must quit from the organizations they or
others formed or they helped supported in forming, that is their decision. Let’s take economic situation of a certain
country, who has the responsibility over economic situations, economic
development of a certain country? Is it a certain organization that they have
become members of? Is it the relevant ministries, departments, authorities,
rulers?
I
always believe that no outsider can understand their situations better than the
insiders. Therefore if USA or UAE or USSR or UK, India, SL decides to resign
from certain duties, responsibilities, membership there should be clear,
transparent reasons to do so.
And
if the union, coalition, certain ally decides to discard memberships of certain
members, the organization has the right to do so, considering every single factor
relevant to its membership and if that is not against the rules and regulations,
policies of the organization.
If
a member decided to resign or leave a certain organization, what are the
reasons for them to take such decisions, good to analyze? Any disappointments
lead them to leave the organization? Or they themselves dissatisfied of their
so far contributions to the organizational activities etc., expected targets
were not met?
I
think for every country economic coalitions are important if that truly helps
them, support economic development of its members. What if it barricades, pull
back without pushing forward. It is good
if a certain organization / s decides to remove what so ever ‘limitations ‘ ,
prohibitions that they have stamped on certain countries, if that has nothing
to do with the theory or rule of ‘conditions apply’. For example ‘the SL’s fishing Industry
related matter. I have no data to say that whether the decision taken by the
relevant organization / institution with regard to the said fish matter,
affected inner industry or not affected. If members think that they can survive
or develop without these organizations, and if they have the ability to do so,
the there is no issues.
And
such things also says something (not everything though) about the success rates
of the organizations, about organizations’ achievements, as well. It is true
that an organization cannot please every single member of an organization set
up aiming at ‘development of its members’.
One
thing that we mustn’t forget is that ‘cooperation’ is highly valid and
important when it comes to try achieving organizational goals, objectives. It
is not just that a country member can not survive or develop without getting
any support from other members, members of allies or a coalition it is also
about ‘helping or supporting ‘ a country , member in need of help. Such things
i believe strengthen and widen the relationships between countries with regard
to their social, cultural, political, economical bonds or development.
