Can we analyze this thinking beyond ‘physically
beating’ children what other ways you can think of?
Following is an excerpt from an
interview with M. Nakahira, Correspondent of the Japanese Newspaper Osaka Asahi.
The interview was done by Vladimir I Lenin, June 3, 1920
“Mr.
Lenin next asked whether Japanese parents beat their children, and said he had
read of this in a book. “Tell me whether it is true or not,” said he, “it is a
very interesting subject.” I answered that there may be exceptions, but as a
rule parents do not beat their children in Japan. On hearing my answer he
expressed satisfaction and said that the policy of the Soviet Government is to
abolish this condition. After that we asked about the revolution and subsequent
developments”.
i excerpt above as an entry to the topic of today. i felt that it provides me a lot of background support to continue essaying this further
No
individual has right to oppress or depress any child. This world was and is full of revolutions. I strongly
believe that children are revolutionists because they always see the sides of
everything or most the things they observe that the adults do not see or
observe at all. They are most curious
parties of the world and that there curiosity takes them to the place that they
like to reach in the future.
The
child who is beaten by social, economical or political injustices of this
world should be identified carefully.
The ‘SEP’ (Social, Economical and Political);
(sorry i do not think that this category exist in this literary world we live. i thought of using SEP terminology as a strategy for an easy essaying)
The three categories that directly affect the lives of people of any country cannot
be estimated or analyzed without trying to understand the era (time frame), aims
and objectives of its people and their needs.
What
ever the decisions that any ‘state’ / government take socially, economically or
even politically, directly or indirectly, affect the lives of the people , no
doubt.
For what ever social or political ‘uprising movement’s takes place in
what ever society has a one or many reasons something to do with the SEP
categories. Referring the data available
on the revolutions of past would help us to get an idea of what I told in above
paragraphs. The Old society was full of
divisions apparent; various it was not just the child who was beaten by
mentioned categories but the ‘entire system’ or ‘every individual that belong
to every age categories.
How the human creatures
treated human creatures in that ‘gone by days’ with regard to the rights of
human, the apparent or obvious differences of wages, the differences of distribution
of resources, some people’s attitudes towards people’s skin tones or colours etc was
I do not know if I use the word wild is unfair , compared to the current world
that everything apparently ‘ so justice and righteous’ .
I do not know whether
it is because of the so called the head quarters of righteous ‘organizations
set up and stationed mostly in the western part of the world. Correct me if I am
wrong. The situation is totally
different now compared to past but one should not forget that there are hidden
sides of every apparent existing thing of this world.
There
is a modern story of every past incident of SEP. The world we live is huge and
how many countries? Do not think that then identified differences are not existing
in this world. Do not think that people do not die of hunger in this food full
of known as prosperous industrialized world. The child becomes the direct victim
of all those. The world held conferences,
forums, world chiefs’, administrators’ conferences, the experts write or
publish policies, change conventions but can you assure that ‘healthy child is
not a dream any more’.
Yes
it is true to some extent that the deaths of infant rate is lower compared to
past but is it totally true or fully controlled? Is the resources that the
richest part of the world or the excess food without throwing them sent to the
poorest part of this world? Can you assure that the every child of this world
eats three meals a day’, gets adequate health care and facilities are
available. I am not talking about the Sri Lankan Child’ I am talking about the
child in general, ‘the child of the world’, ‘the global child’.
If
‘beating children’ is sustaining in this world even now, what are the social,
or economical or even political reasons behind it OR psychosocial factors or
reasons behind them?
How
are you, the responsible trying to understand the depressed parents, oppressed by
SEP parents in this aha! Equal balanced world?
Who
is willing to analyze the data reported on children beaten by direct or
indirect SEP factors? Who is volunteering
to study the unsaid stories of incidents reported to the police or to any other
institution – formal, i.e. to a Child Probation officer or office?
Let
me repeat I am not taking only about the Sri Lankan child but also the global.
The
Interview happened in 1920. How old is the
world now since then? I do not think the questions that then leaders or revolutionists
asked then from each other can be asked now from each other. The world is more
up to talking or discussing ‘equal rights’ to work and worker’s gender is no
matter. If the individual has the skill,
he can sell his skills to any employer who is willing to appoint him / her, the
struggle mostly or really begins afterwards not at the date of the appointment
always.
Now
the world is discussing or willing to discuss more about not peasants but about
parents. The main title ‘parents’ now comes in various packages of discussions,
there are many sub topics; working parents, single parent
‘Peasant
class’ is now a forgotten topic or do we discuss about it ore than in the past?
I am unaware.
I
can think of how child is or was beaten when he / she is jobbed as a ‘child soldier’.
I
like to think, that in this world there aren’t any child labours, with any
group?
No
child is now kidnapping to appoint as ‘paid in what ‘child soldier’ in this
country. The blind can see it or collect data from any part of this country.
And made a documentary and sell it to who ever willing to ‘BUY’ and SHOW’
stories of struggled, oppressed, depressed, beaten people of this part of
world.
What
other ways that this world can beat the child now live peacefully in this land
without holding a weapon close to his innocent heart ?
Were
they not beaten during their trainings?
How
beautifully we can write that word if find peace in the land they live, we can
write it together like a carefully woven garland
If
you find any struggles within any land you cannot write the letters or the word,
CHILD together other than writing it C
H I
L D or else H D I C L ways.
What
are the ways that this world can beat / hit the child?
‘Lack
of food to eat’, when the child observes that the child of another eats not
few grains or piece of bread but a plate full of other luxury food ( PLEASE Watch
Karka Mutti, (The Crow egg) made in South India to get an idea about what I am
saying here)
No
shelter; Don’t
think that every boy gets a chance to be a millionaire in this unparallel
economical world though every slum child is now not addressed as a dog
Child
labouer; yes
it is true that every child below is not an adult and lawfully cannot be
recruit as an employee but how do you feel when an 18 years and 01 month old child begin to work
without really continue his higher education?
Not
sent to school on time
No
it is not about ‘ the distance to school’ and parents desires to enter their
child to known as popular or with always get milk not kekiri kind of school with
regard to facilities
Look!
I am not talking about the Child here only, but about the global child
Take
every school set up by any government in any state of this world , are the facilities
same in each school
Do
you see differences in big schools in towns compared to any school in a
village?
How
many orphanages that each country maintains within their admin systems?

How
many websites seeking or asking donations to look after orphanages?
How many are employed in the settings of these orphanages?
Are these children bring bread and butter to another set who's job is to take care them. is every person work for these homes voluntary workers
voluntary is no easy that each part of this globe is financially different. knowing that it is so silly to ask such a question, i know that
What
are the reasons behind all these?
Are
the so called ‘global welfare - child organizations’ asleep?
Why
the number of orphanages, increases, day by day?
Is
the world failed to address the roots of most the issues exist (SEP or
otherwise) in this world?
This
is an unending essay I do not think that I can essay a complete essay with all
the necessary details with regard to the subject chosen so let me stop at this
point and continue on some other day ……………..
