The New Chief's Portrait

The Portrait of ex- minister with the garland,
that stayed 'silently' for a half a decade
Removed according to the tradition (?).
The Portrait of the New replaced instead
The Smiling face of the new,
framed & hanged elegantly & Prestigiously with an 'Ayubowan' angle
smiled at the worker who voted for the ex chief
The worker, who has not promoted to any stage, smiled back 'unconsciously' (?)
'Who will be next'?
thought the worker, who has been smiling at portraits of power since decades
The Portrait removed, where has it gone?
binned ?
sent to Museum?
sent to the archives of ex chiefs?
The worker asked himself
Must be the commissioner knows, rethought the worker with a half opened mouth
