What do you think about these digits? Do not worry it is not about a date or a year that remind us something like  9/11. This is something related to a meeting / session or gathering of superiors / authorities, held for five hours. The money spent to cover the five hour session / meeting was 8 million (eighty thousand laks LKR),according to newspaper sources. i do not think that they gathered to discuss any gossips but i guess to discuss something important, still spending eighty laks is not heart pleasing. no body likes to hear such news. 

Eight million is not a little when thinking of the tasks , remain uncompleted unaccomplished, as government planned or promised initially to the citizen. some development projects for example. on the other hand they say or worry about the money lost due to bond scam dealings and at the same time we hear of such news that they are spending big money for meetings. 

The other news is that the government has appointed a new minister to take care of the Tamil Language,that too the newspapers reported as their top topic of the day.  It is silly because according to what i believe, i do not know about constitutions or about amendments  it is responsibility of the chief minister, tacking care of each and every segment , component of education as a whole. if you do so, you have to appoint at least three ministers to handle all three languages we locally use. and the The government very including the minister must take necessary actions to touch, improve every aspect, facet of 'Local Education' without really trying to separate them nationally or geographically or provincially.  It is has become the topic of the day and i guess these days people have nothing else to think of other than thinking and discussing about it. Just to please the world you must not take any foolish decisions that may lead to other issues in the future. if you purposely use the term Tamil or Sinhala you are showing something else to the world not anything such as' peace and harmony.  It reminds me of something like 'whites only and blacks only' era. 

Cannot you think of  any scholars who can take care of the education segmenting them if the government really wants?
