Rain & Grain

What are newest challenges the world communities can think of now a days, other than issues such as the air pollution or environment and social hazards etc. the world is already struggling to find sustainable solutions for. 

Rain & Grain ; though we consider receiving rain on time adequately or stopping floods is as issues we had forgotten, the grain or we do not think much about , if we do not pay adequate attention to protecting the grain lands the world own , what will happen to the consumption patterns or lives of the world citizen, humans and other gran prefers creatures?

In the future due to lack of rain, droughts or floods 'cultivating grain; paddy corn and other agricultural crops will be a massive challenge. 

The entire universe is depend on rain and the rest, every breathable creatures  is depends on grain, i believe. 

In the past this island i live was known as the 'grain store of the East. But now due to other alternative food patterns' invasions, industrialization, modernization we had to either sacrifice our agricultural lands for the sake of fulfilling other requirements such as infrastructure,  building highways for instance, building commercial entities, modern housing etc. Also due to environmental threats we often had to skip cultivating seasons. if a farmer skips a season without cultivating his or her land , needless to say the level of threat, how it will affect the lives of the world creatures,  the state or national grain store(s). 

I guess, most of the popular entrepreneurs such as hoteliers , restaurant owners of the world, (i.e pizza huts) , at least 50% depends on the cuisines , eateries made of corn flour, right? 

If the world will have to stop cultivating every grain locally cultivating , what would happen to the world citizen? Their health in particular. 

The money cannot be consumed. This we all, including the WFO know by now. Though any country can earn trillions and trillions or any amount of money selling other goods, oil or gems or the things they manufacture locally, what will happen if there will be no grain to be purchased. 

Alternative food habits, there are millions of them. but we all know what the doctors , medical practitioners say about those eateries. 

Though, the world manufacture the world's most effective products in what ever particular type, what the world was still unable to find is a better solution to manage rain and stop floods, wild fire etc..

By minimizing or eradicating wastage of grain, in processing , cooking, selling storing, the world can slower the process of disappearing grain cultivation or grain from the world agricultural lands. And always try to implement nature friendly industries or factories, and pay special attention to minimize or fully stop damaging the natural environment when handling earth and water and temptational needs and wants of human creatures. 

Hikes of prices of grain not will be the burning issue, challenge that the world will be facing in the future, that will be the protecting grain cultivating lands and grain and managing rain water.

Internet Reach-ability and future of saving time

Almost every government of the past tried to introduce something newest for the local internet users, welcoming new tech-apps and mechanisms available in the world arena of computer technology and internet. 

Still, i find it a little difficult to reach internet from my residence. it takes ages for the particular internet facility to provide me the expected service. I think the cause of matter according to my personal awareness is that though the responsible always try to implement big things they have forgotten to analyze the issues with regard to what should be done to provide better internet reception  for the village level internet users a better service. due to this issue those who do not get better internet service tend to change their internet providing facilitators from time to time and the users have to think of changing the tools and equipment that they use to reach internet , frequently. 

To understand the issue better , doing a research is advisable. Collating the views can be done by interviewing the users of the remote areas and is not unworthy. Providing a sim and a number is not enough and to satisfy the needs and wants of the internet service requirers, better monitoring system should be implemented. 

i think, though some users have the financial ability to purchase  equipment or tools such as routers for their personal internet use, most do not have the ability to purchase personal routers. Therefore i suggest that it is not unfair to implement router type technology,  high tech small towers, in the remote areas or in other urban areas where there are practical obstacles or  bars to cater the need  (better reception) of the internet users. 

In this internetly well mobilized world , still there are things that the responsible must think of changing with regard to quality of services. 

i know that there are certain things that the relevant engineers consider when implementing towers  and also i know that you cannot find a hill or a mountain in every bit of country to base a tower. you need to think of alternatives to provide a better service for the internet users of remote or geographically difficult areas.

Foot Bicycle ; The Vehicle of the Poor

(An environmental friendly solution)

Today, i saw a group of friends riding their bicycles around the Kandy lake very leisurely. I thought of writing something about this spectacular vehicle introduced to the world, very long ago. One of my uncles told me that the first brand that reached our country was 'Hercules. I do not know whether it is still available in the market or not. When i first heard of the name what came into my mind was a hero, a mythological story that i have read as a schooling kid. 

Sometimes some people are very good at creating something out of the myths or mythological they have heard of developing their imaginations, adding science and technology.

Somehow, this particular vehicle that was introduced decades ago became a very good friend of the poor, especially after the world is dominated by expensive high technological vehicles that were manufactured aiming at the rich class for very high rates.

This particular vehicle produces no fumes, no smoke and requires only a tiny bit of space from any gravel or urban paths etc.

I believe that this is a better solution for the traffic  issue that most of the people across the world is worried about and thinking of  better solutions. And it requires no fuel therefore the poor or the buyer do not need any money to use the vehicle, after purchasing, unless for repairing or maintenance purposes.

Though i named it as the vehicle of the poor, almost every person of every age category likes this or have ridden at least once in their life time. 

To purchase a foot-bicycle you do not need loads of money, compared with the money that you need to purchase other vehicles that are in the local markets.

According to the medical practitioners and advisers this is a good whole-body exercise tool, helps maintain a healthy life.

The mountain-foot-bicycle races are very popular among the youth and elders. also among the teens and little ones. 

But you need a better head and body guard to protect your life when you riding your bicycle between or among other vehicle users. if you worried about the speed in particular you can think of an electronic sort of solution.

Thank you, all VIPs and ordinary for riding a bicycle  thinking of protecting or safe guarding the natural environment, especially during a heavy traffic period. 

Isn't this a better solution to decrease air pollution to  certain extent?

Ladies fingers and PESTS

Ladies fingers is a greeny vegetable full of nutrient facts finely grow in our island. 

For this part of the world, this is not a foreign vegetable. i cannot think of a person or a kid who had not tasted the vegetable.

And this is a vegetable that can be earned fairly a good income, if the farmer deal with it accurately.  

and this vegetable is not a very expensive vegetable compared with the vegetables grown in hill country and imported. it won't take months and months to harvest the yield.

i am not a agriculturalist. therefore my knowledge on these cultivation is very limited. this morning, i noticed some pest issues on the surfaces of the vegetable cultivated by my brother. 

 The pest is a red colour creature. travels through the leaves and all over the tree, vegetable like a busy ant. 

solutions ?

What medication can be applied to solve the issue? 

i know that there are plenty of non-organic treatments are available. but i am very interesting in knowing the organic fertilizer and pesticides for this particular vegetable. 

i think applying organic fertilizer and organic pesticides (bio-pesticides) is the very best solution i can think of. 

The treatment should be begun at land preparation i believe to solve the issue to its best capacity. Nurseries should be well protected from every type of pest issues and when treating the soil, nourishing the soil, rehabilitating the soil. 

when purchasing either plants or seeds advisable to purchase them from the job knowing place (agriculture).  

After plucking the yield the earth, the ground of the cultivation should be well looked after  to avoid hazards in the forth coming season.  

The farmers should consult the agricultural officers in the area , or it is very helpful if the agricultural officers , extensive officers visit the home gardens of the areas to help them and to support and motivate them in their agricultural activities.

Clinical wastes and our health

If you think of importing or exporting wastes, especially clinical wastes , for whatever purposes  kindly think of human health. 

What will happen to the lives of the humans who handles clinical wastes such as HIV affected injections cotton wool, etc?

When humans handle those without knowing the danger of what they handle , even if it is their job, such will harm their lives. please think of those things. 

if you have any plans to dump those in any geographic area of the country, please inform the people around the areas, because if you do not inform them, it may affect the lives of the children. As you know, children, they prefer to play here and there of their villages or home grounds.

Legal Arrack and illegal arrack.

I do not think that i can find even any little chap or a lad that doesn't know the difference between the legal alcohol and illegal alcohol. 

They know the places where the elders sell legal alcohol because they sometimes go to school passing such places. i do not know how many of them though along a street, in an urban or semi-urban segments they live. 

In a city, big or small, you can find at least a couple or very more than that number of shops, sells alcohol. recently i noticed that they even showcase the price lists of those brands they import. For a person like me, can live a week from the money that a single person spends to buy a half a bottle of some of those brands  that they import. 

Recently about twelve men died because of the illegal arrack they consumed, after hospitalizing. In the past toddy was the only alcohol that the ceylonies knew. since 1505 and Now they know many names and types that the entrepreneurs . businessmen in the Asia or in the other continents produce. 

The prices of those drinks, needless to say no lower than the prices of illegal drugs, i assume.   

i think illegal arrack is the beverage of the poor. 

Those who cannot afford to pay for the Rum and Vine or Whiskey, they pick the option of consuming illegal arrack. 

Do you think that they consume those type without knowing the consequences of taking illegal arrack. 

Even though the world know that consuming alcohol harms a person's inner organs and harms their social and cultural life, improves disharmony within families and societies, the authorities give licence to manufacture such beverages/drinks and and to sell those, import or to export.

In almost every community and country, there are departments established to deal with arrack business communities ; distillery private limited for instance. 

And i do not know how much a state/government allocates to provide treatment for those who become ill (legally or illegally) due to consuming alcohol. How much money they earn annually from the taxes they pay. 

If a state/government think of implementing they probably can save the money they spend to implant organs. they will not have to pay / issue / donate money for the affected to implant kidneys.

What if you think of introducing a rule, example; to limit the number of bottles that a single person can purchase per month?

I know that it is not easy. why we select governments? to solve the complex issues that we, the citizens cannot solve single handedly. 

Because the governments are the decision makers. 

If the governments decided to follow such mechanism we know what will happen. The entrepreneur/s will have to find another sources of living. And the good governments cannot earn much money or taxes by either issuing licences for the shop openers and or taxes from the sellers, shop-men. 

And the shop-men will have to have to find another job to cater their financial needs. 

Almost every government now and then, issued licence for those who supported them in their political campaigns. No one can say NO.

For sure, the government who take decisions to ban selling legal or illegal arrack in any community-human, probably won't get any votes. But i assume that they might get the votes of the females who suffer due to alcohol habits of their husbands. 

The governments must decide whether they need votes of the consumers of the wives and their children or of the sellers and the importers. 

What are the ways that the various brands that are there to be sold in the shops in towns or in villages, gets the label of 'legal'?

Those manufactures are manufacturing arrack after registering their companies within local legal frameworks. 

The importers import or exporters of arrack/alcohol have the licence to either import or to export alcohol. And most importantly they are tax payers.

But i do not know whether the relevant authorities check or test  the samples of the legal alcohol containers or bottles exhibited in the shops before allowing the relevant individuals to sell them. 

What assurance you have to say that the alcohol containers or comes under certain brands (world know) contains the true product. 

I assume Any person  who has the legal licence to sell alcohol can refill the bottle using illegal arrack and sell them to their ordinary customers, especially for those who do not know the taste or the brand that well. But i do not know whether the authorities have tested or checked such things or have found any evidences or proofs.

The state/ government authorities can think of the margin of harmfulness of consuming legal arrack and illegal arrack and dangerous drugs before deciding what to do next time, for instance introducing new acts or set of rules in the future.

what is this matter? A black mark of medical history of the country? or a curse of world medical history? Please Verify.

I believe that we live in a world ‘where knowledge and sciences are highly praised and accredited. Since the creation of man, the maternal health gradually developed to the today’s stage.

The pre and post birth constraints that the ancient mothers and children faced reduced thank you to the research done by the scholars so far involved in studying and learning and as a result of that the subject with regard to the maternal health improved. Compared with the medical officers, doctors who dealt with the subject in the past, the advancement of the medical science given the doctors of today to deal with the subject, solve constraints if any, in a more mother and child friendly healthier manner.  

Even the mother of today is well aware of most the facts that they should know and learn to look after their health during the pre-natal stage and during the period of pregnancy and after a child birth. Such as, what routines they must follow and avoid (do-s and don’ts) with regard to day today living and consumer habits etc. And were educated at clinics and by elders of the families.

When everything was cordially done, the services healthily and supportively linked other than in a medically unavoidable situation with medical or social issues or constraints, the mother do not face any issues at child birth.

Almost every community of the world now are equipped with modern necessary equipment, tools that should be there at the labor rooms to facilitate the team of relevant medical officers.

Even if any ordinary etc. issues identified during or pre-natal stage the causes of issues can be identified easily today, again thank you to the facilities and knowledge of the medical staffs.

If there is any new issues less known to us or not known to our medical experts due to a reason that do not explain in the books of medicines how those should be addressed or medicated must be verified and clarified. Even to well identify any issue strange to them  than usual or common issues known to them the team of medical scholars should suggest what things must be done to address or cater the issues. For instance if there is any medical issue that cannot be solved, medicated inland, they normally suggest the patient another better solution for instance if it an issue related to implanting an organs etc. they should visit an institution with facilities available.

Other than the scholars who learned the subject, medicine no person has the ability or the skill, qualification to advice or to prescribe medications for a patient ill or a person disabled due any medical or health issues, very including issues or constraints related to pregnant mothers as to what mechanism or methods should be used to solve such an issue, to well identify such issues.

Thank you to Hippocratic and persons lived before or after him, the efforts taken by the medical officers who legally and ethically qualified from recognized institutions such as Universities, there are a set of rules developed to protect human rights related to medical science segment or health sector in particular.

Though every person who is assign to serve any community of humans should follow human friendly methods to serve their communities, countries, and their people, there is a particular Oath known worldwide as ‘Hippocratic oath’. Any person who had learned the subject or any legally qualified learner, pupil who studied or learned medical science, must swear from their deep within before professionally begin to serve the humans.

If any medical officer breaks any rules during their medical practices first and foremost what he or she disrespect is the oath written by the human Hippocratic.

Every community has a history of medical science, health. Since official and legal establishment of medical entities, institutions such as hospitals and universities acts and facts, ministry of a country, every single fact and incident happen every moment in any environment were directly written indirectly mentioned in the book/s, papers, court cases, personal or public research reports, documents of history of local medical science, unless any of them were burnt or discarded intentionally for whatever reasons.

There are ways a sector develops other than by the academic knowledge experimented and tested or gained by research done by the scholars local and worldwide. i.e. Local health sectors develop learning the facts and incidents, mistakes, things intentionally occurred or naturally happened in the past as well.

If something happened in any segment of health, department taking care of local health, every relevant sector personal should be well educated, informed, including the students without changing the actual picture, facts because the same thing help develop the medicine science and to improve methods of practices, to establish rules and regulations, policies etc. If any issues newly occurred in any human community that cannot be cater using available resources and knowledge more research should be done and must give more attention than in the past.

Therefore every fact and incident, data should be well shared and documented without fabricating anything is important for the development of the sector of the world health.    

If there is something happening in any geographic or political segment of the world with regard to health of a person, the WHO should know every detail and fact of the matter or the incident or the achievement. The organization cannot share the information knowledge with the world community if they refrain from following such procedures and there should be a mechanism established how they should cooperate, collects facts and details working cordially with local governments, I think.

The incidents that had happened with regard to maternal health, pregnant mothers’ at their child births at the teaching hospital in the Kurunegala district of the country, since about many years, directing our sector officers, scholars, students, researchers attention towards learning another vital aspect and facet of the subject of medicine that was not well identified as an issue or not apparent to any of the relevant sector personal before but came to surface after the incident happened on the April 21^st of this year.

I have a question with regard to child birth anyway. I do not know whether the number of mothers who deliver their babies naturally is decreased and the mothers who face caesarian operations increased compared with the past? What are the reasons so far reveled by the scholars for such child births? Any research done locally or internationally to learn the facts?

According to data available, news sources, about 4000 plus babies were delivered using caesarian method since about a few months (?) years with the help of a team lead by a local medical practitioner and they had faced health and social complexities and constraints with regard to their personal health and family lives. Most the mothers who faced issues after facing the operations done by the medical officer were Sinhalese and 80 plus them were Tamil mothers and a few Muslim mothers. But they have faced no medical complexities or social constraints after facing the operation, the sources reported.

According to what the researchers reveled through the complained they received from affected mothers, after the child birth done by the particular medical officer, they had faced medical constraints such bleeding, aches and pains and they didn’t become pregnant afterwards though they had plenty of hopes and plans to have more babies.

Almost every mother who faced the constraints, complexities shared and given similar facts and reasons when explaining the issue, some I viewed and heard during news bulletins.

According to what I heard a child birth can be barred distracting the natural path that leads towards mother’s womb carrying relevant human components towards it. During a process of a child birth, by harming an essential vein etc. (Placenta?) during a caesarian operation further birth of children can be stopped.  BUT according to available sources of knowledge, knowledgeable, there is no such mechanism advised explained, taught to be practiced in the subject of medicine/ in ethical medicine. Not even as a method of control of birth or a method of permanently stopping a pregnancy. But for a clever doctor according to the knowledgeable this can be done without consent of the knowledge, support of the others of the team and approval of the mother/parents.

According to available human witnesses the relevant doctor had used less time to finish an operation than taught or need.

Needless to say if any medical officer is currently following any of such or similar methods to harm a mother and her hopes and plans , in anywhere of this world we cannot applaud or support continue such practices. Must take immediate actions to stop such actions for the sake of better and healthy living of humans and to protect their human rights.

How these can be prevented in the future?

First and foremost, need to get a clear picture, better understanding of the issue, what had happened, how such things were done, method used, why?  Under what medical reasons? If there was any medical constrains identified, why didn’t he informed the mothers, the team before the operations were done? 

Birth control; this is not something that one person decides. Both parents should come to an agreement if they are willing or planning to choose such method to have or not to have any children in the future.

The parents have the soul right to decide whether they should own any other children after a child birth or after having a few children for the family, when there are no laws established by their governments etc. (control population) and they should decide ethically and under legal framework what medical method matches their need with the help of the qualified doctors.

Even under an acceptable reason, medical conditions, even to abort a child a medical officer cannot be engaged in such activities without the awareness of the mother, at least.

If a mother’s natural pregnancy procedures distracted or disturbed or barred illegally intentionally, during an operation what are the rights of the mother and her family breaking?

Mother’s Pregnancy rights, Parent’s right to have a child, Child’s right, family rights etc. local rules and regulations attached to professional sphere and other social and religious customs and practices, norms and values etc.

According to some the act of this particular medical officer can be understood as something, an action done intentionally to assassinating a particular race, nation to bar increase of Sinhalese race, nation, to reduce the population of nation in order to build their Utopian kingdom, even if we inquire him I do not know whether you will earn facts to justify his opinion. And by doing so what he had expected was to support sustain and increase the race/nation that he belong to.

I do not think that he will ever revel his intention to follow such a method during an operation, caesarian. No wrong doer accepts such things even if a person does something to harm a person intentionally or such things we hear very rarely.

The method that the officer may have used is said or explained to people, based on the current knowledge available. If you allow the experts to well study the issue, by interviewing and examining the mothers, you never know what you will encounter, new medical facts and reasons that you may end up learning , find out. Every fact you learn from such research definitely nourish world health and the subject medicine. And most importantly such information you find and gain through such research surely help future development of the subject medicine.

This can be studied and understood and addressed two ways.

1. Medically
2. Legally.

The medical experts should be involved in studying and collecting medical facts and the other facts can be revealed to human world with the help of the legal experts.

How this issue could be technically and medically studied and PREVENTED IN THE FUTURE?

Like I wrote in above paragraphs prevention could be done by accurately learning the issue; collecting the right and relevant facts, details provided by affected mothers. Thoroughly examining them by medical experts; for this relevant tools and facilities; laboratory etc. and other essential environment should be provided and facilitated by the government. If there are no adequate facilities available to identify or study such issues accurately, to examine affected mothers within the country, they must be directed to a place, an Institution with relevant facilities and knowledge available with a local team of experts. So the local experts can educate the rest of the local medical sector personal and students without facing obstacles issues afterwards.   

Collecting relevant details, facts by interviewing the medical officers who participated for the operations done by the suspect, medical officer too is important to well understand the issue.

I believe that CCTV cameras etc. should be fixed inside a labor room and in every relevant sector of a hospital. Medical histories of patients treated should be filed and documented and well protected by the authorities with contactable information.

before i conclude, i like to request, give the medical officer a chance to purify and justify his actions by supporting to examine the affected mothers medically as advised by the experts going here or there or anywhere of this world and continue his profession. This may help delete all the suspicious perceptions , doubts from and among people here and there of the world. if not the doubts may sustain , the issue may sustain in the hearts and minds of the people. 

Finally and above all Freedom of research and ethically and lawfully work of professionals should be respected.
