The
‘moments’ of life…………..
I am
thinking right now about the moments that I hear the news of the moments of
other lives around me, my friends, my relatives, my siblings, country mates,
incidents, news of political and apolitical lives around us.
We
read and we like watching things. People enjoy talking their moments of lives.
A
moment is so huge, uncountable and Immeasurable or I can say even unexplainable
and unimaginable too this we can apply in both in memorable and forgettable
areas of life of our lives.
The
recent news, the yesterdays news ( May 21, 2012) the moment that we heard the
news of releasing general Sarath Fonseka from the bars of the jail, this news
brought a moment for their family more than for anyone else, a precious moment
of their life I believe. This is a moment for both other political and
apolitical spheres of the country and globally too.
That
is how that ‘moment ‘or the news became wonderful and memorable, a politically
valid moment and etc…..
Things
and moments have both the apolitical and political value/ worth.
Apolitical
moments mostly are dealt with heart matters of all kind, the emotional,
parental relationships, friendships, neighborhoods, other relationships such as
teacher student, a customer trader, religious etc ….. You can think of many
relationships as such and related moments of your life I believe.
It is
interesting to know the ‘validity’ or the validness of a moment. Some moments of lives around us we can
measure and give judgment looking at things from an eye of an outsider. But
other things are totally outside of the eyes of the outsiders. So those moments
become too personal moments of ones life.
The
moment that a political candidate hear of the news of winning the ‘presidential
title’ how much of validness, happiness, that ‘moment of news’ may bring in to
their lives, the families etc. what do you think? Think of the opposite, the
anger, the sorrow, the lost, the losing of people of their own groups, the
losing of property, disappearing moments of smiles of people, the ‘good morning
or good night wish of your own neighbor etc. ……
A ‘moment
brings’ thousands of things material or emotional, countable and uncountable and
that may also take away so much of other things from us or from our within I
like to think that way.
A news
of a moment winning a title of sports, or otherwise what ‘heaviness’ that the
‘moment of winning’ may hold when it come to country related things. If you view something in a holistic, in a
unselfishness manner what importance those things hold for a country.
Ms.
Susanthika Jayasinghe the moment of winning ‘an Olympic medal’ or SAAF medal,
if you think of our yesteryears Mr. Julian Bolin’s moment of winning a swimming
events and Ms. Deepika too .......
The
moment that the particular commentator aired the news of we winning the world
cup title back in ’94….. Those are personal and country moment’s immeasurable
moments that we all embraced together as a country. Can you go back to those
moments of ‘our country’ lives for a moment.
The
moment that we read the news of maestro Amaradewa wining the ‘Magsese (please pardon me I don’t
think that wrote the word correct way)
Our ‘aakaasa kusuma’ Ms Malini fonseka winning the title of the best
actress award for her unchallengeable performance in Mr. Prasanna Withanage’s
film and our ‘machangs’ winning appreciations of international audiences those
are personal moments as well true but they are ‘country moments' more than
anything else.
Those
are so memorable award winning moments of our most admirable, respectable
artists of the country.
The
moment we hear the news of defeating the most ruthless terror outfit ‘the LTTE”
we made ‘kiribath’ and kewum kokis and
we all shared those moments and kewili pewili even with out tyrants ( personal)
even we shared a smile with our long angry neighbors
‘ api dinuwa ne’ ‘Prabhakaranwa
allala neda’
those are friendly moments too. Did we have time to think of our long years of maintaining
anger in a brilliant way at those moments of lives? NO!
People
have family moments too. That we all know personal and work related.
I
really can’t forget ‘history’ mine and country’s I think those things are like
my ‘breath of life’. The moments of my personal history I like embracing them
even now. So history matters. That is very true that you sometimes forget the
current moments of your life when thinking of the past moments of your lives.
The
day or the moment that our people heard the news of our official ‘independence’
announcement our people celebrated. Independence is a vast subject to talk
about and it has many dimensions I know that too. May be in 1947 or is it 1949
our neighbor got that official title of winning an independence, the closest
naighbour of our region ‘India’?
I like
to think how Nehru’s and Gandhi’s celebrated such moments of their political,
apolitical news like that.
We
really can not forget the ‘global moments’ too
How
can it be possible we are a member of international community and we are not
isolated from them from that the huge parts of world communities? Though we are
a huge and a tall nation of all ( comparatively)
I honestly and only like to embrace the
memorable moments of my life current and past. Not the moments that brought bad
news to my personal and carrier life
The
moment that I heard the news of my father’s illness of him having a lung cancer.
What do you think of such moments of your life have you ever experienced such
moments. May be not but I don’t think that you are unaware of such feelings of
others or the moments of lives of others. I don’t like to talk and think of
such moments again though those moments of my life are inevitable and those
moments are unforgettable in many aspects of my life.
The
moments of education, youth, adult, the carrier, hibernating periods of lives, all
these are important moments of life of a person. The moments teach us lessons
and add things to our lives in many aspects or dimensions of life.
An old
friend coming back to one’s personal life again is a different moment I like to
think. Call or a message from an old
friend that you not heard for years and years…. such moments have some sense.
Adding
moments and deleting moments of ones lives both are inevitable, memorable,
forgettable, unforgettable, we can think of all sorts of things in these
moments of ones life.
How
many moments of our lives that we really and truly remember if just close our
eyes for few moments can we think or remember all the moment of our lives? No I
believe the human memory holds such position in our lives to be honest. (In My
opinion)
The
moments have different shapes and sizes too. The colours, the values all these
things differ from moment to moment and person to person. Am I right?
The life
gives us different titles at different times/stages of our lives. We all hold
different titles such as a child, a student, parent, lover, citizen,
politician, customer, Passenger, pedestrian, co – worker, listener, reader, member
of something, I can think of plenty like that. How about you?
I
don’t think that I can really stop talking about this topic about ‘moments’ I
can talk of this topic any moment and many times, in a non stop way…….
Some
moments are ‘money’ moments or money oriented some others are emotional non
money moments. I like to add.
We
think sometimes our moments are decided and pre written according to our
religious faiths, destiny, fate or numerological, astrologically …… that depends
on people really their levels of understanding on such and such issues or
moments of life.
Every
moment we are passing can be a moment of our lives/one’s life. We, the people
have the right to give the moment to some validity or the opposite, some
freshness or some colours if you will. We manage our moments I believe no one
else can do that.
I just
tried to analyze the moments of lives giving it my way of thinking and touch
and style. I am sure you may have your way or some other way of analyzing such
things or your moments of life.
The
moments are embraceable and unpredictable
Take care
of your moments of your life!
Just a
moment! The moment you thought of ‘gossiping’ you lose the validity of your
days’ moments.
