The theory of Imprisonment, now and then : this is to mark the National Independence Day

if you very confidently say that 'The Nation is Independent' that is a huge achievement. and most importantly it revels many things about 'who you are' 

what is imprisonment?  for me imprisonment is not something that you can jail a physical body in a square or oval shaped , bared, tiny room. there are other things that the term explains, and written within the term' 'imprisonment' other than jailing. 

i believe, politically, there is a tradition in this country 'where you imprisoned' many who struggled against various socio - economic or political situations of the country from time to time. 1971 is a very significant year where you find new, politically historical pages written, with regard to the subject i try to talk about today.

1971 was entirely different to 1818 , who does not know that.   but if that is the situation must read and compare the years  

Jailing a physical body you do as a punishment. Punishing who really is the question? The socio political situation of a certain country? or is it The system of Law and Order? , Political thinking of people? who created what so ever society that creates or molds  physical bodies ( physical: every structure that do not belong to the category of 'invisible') that acts or reacts as inhuman? who has written books , creates movies, who punishes people?

isn't everything a result of a series of situations, socio - cultural, political, Geo - political situations of the country since ' vijaya's arrival?

you cannot expect anything to happen or everything to happen just within nine years of governing patterns, methods or in agendas of a party. when you find the history or the age of a certain country is more than just nine years but how many years, Pre and post Vijaya period, can you calculate? what is your mathematics situation, SKILLS, posses? 

Agreements that were made and exchanged pagoda or the agreements that were made between the ones involved, can just a one party blamed or cherished, hurrayed for everything happened all those years of history of the country?

people's or individuals affiliations towards POWER isn't this the main reason for everything? Vijaya did what Vijaya thought was right, including marrying the KUweni adn divircing her and marrying again a princess from his own blood routes? King Pandukabhaya' did what he thought was right and ruled this country peacefully(?) for 70 years, can you imagine? Imprisoning Chitra did the uncles of Pandukabhaya managed to changed the history or the destiny of this land?  how many odd years or times that this land was casted by evilled eyes? do you know?

who were those evils then, excluded to devils( Yakkha) Naga who lived in this country not as foreigners but as own tribal , living group of the country?  do you find any tyrants outside to this land or did you find them inside the land all those years? Was the Kalinga Magha different from the tyrants or invadors who tried to capture this 65 610 piece of land from time to time?

can we imprison them all for what they did or for the situations they have created within for all those years, within the traditional socio economic cultural , political contexts of this tiny land ?  

was Elara , the only person that the king Dutugemunu had to defeat then?

don't you see 'Molligoda's and also Ehalepola's in this society, current?

wasn't the job of , Portugese, Dutch and the Englishes became so easy to fulfill because of such groups? what were the causes , reasons for 1818, 1971 political struggles of the country?

can you just isolate one fact from other facts, inevitable when justifying or analysing soio economic situations of the country? 

why some burn flags of some and hoist the flags of some? can you understand or verify or else justify the reasons?

who is / are the people , individuals who try their best to fool their people?

why don't you just try to imprison the entire system that you have created since the political establishments were established demographically or democratically, bunkerly, pointless or what so ever or socially concreted in this land, just as a trial, since 1948 or even before?

who were the real founders of this system we experience?  is it the executive presidency? or is it the cnstitutions? so you are trying to handover the same structure, system in to the hands of officers in the same system for all those years, giving them a different name ' Commissions' hip hip hurray!!!!!!!

what is niladari vaadaya by the way is it different from panadura vaadaya? when Wariyapola Sri Sumangala was trying something that 'must do' was praised ? or hammered ? but when some try the same in the same land but in a  different location were ' sent flowers' , brilliant isn't it?

who taught the people of this land to eat bread for the first time? Lorenzo or Mahinda Rajapakse? No! not madam CBK

what do you know about Kashyapa and Mugalan? how are you going to analyze the two characters? separately or as a part of system or as  siblings?

just because the Mugalan tried to get what ' Dhatusena owned can the Kashyapa be blamed and devalued the Sigiriya?

Can the people of today, imprison Dhatusena for creating kala weva, that lead to a fight to share the treasure owned by king Dhatusena?

some say Ehalepola didn't sign any documents , the signature of ehalepola that is visible on the historic document ( view the document exhibits in the Museum, adjoining the Sri Dalada Maligawa, was a fabricated one? Can Ehalepola or the parties signed the document explain it today? can we find the ones who eye witnessed he signing or not signing it?

John Doily or Lorenzo, who ever lead by what situations? Their aims, hopes? why Molligoda was so keen on knowing everything ?  

who are klean parties in the country?  ( don't specifically try to think of political parties , current Kalinga, Choranaga, Prabaharan too had a party)

unless you imprison the entire system or unless you rewrite the history of this land from the day that the Vijaya arrived, set foot from Thammanna naming this land as 'Thambapanni', it is no point trying to imprison just a single person

and you cannot forget that Sri Lanka too is a part of this complex world of ' POLITICAL' ECONOMIC Structure for god sake, we need to understand that as well

to understand everything clearly, try to understand the political situation - global , situations outside to country, collisions , allies - global , you cannot isolate a community from the global situation or global structures and then analyze. you need to take a good clear global picture to justify or to verify a certain community in its dealings, agreements, exchanges of pagodas between parties

have a insightful  INDEPENDENCE DAY!
