Turn onn and TURN OFF duties of electricity Board, private or public.

Dear Responsible of Ceylon Electricity Board

I do not know what time you turn on and turn off Street Lamps' at public places / urban or otherwise.

i do not know whether you have decided to keep the street lamps on all day long, day and night for a change. .There is a reason for me to begin my essay that way.

About few months back,(last year) in the middle of the day (not in the middle of the night) , very before the Rail Way Station , Fort, i noticed that the streets lamps were on and i was wondering why no one has noticed it specially because it is a public place where you find not only ordinary citizens but also most of other government servants, workers of country go passing this place towards their work places.

And

About few days back, i think about couple of days after the Independence Day, i noticed that the Street Lamps along the main road were on and it is little surprise to note that the place was near the very famous Town Hall , Vihara Maha Devi Gardens. Time was exactly around 12.30pm. i asked the person who sat before me, in the bus.

And

Today, i was walking along the road, passing the Bridges and the tank, towards the hospital, Jayawardenapura, i happen to notice the same, some of the streets lamps unfortunately were on and i guess time was past two o clock.

i wonder weather you have sent any workers of electricity services home and now face 'lack of workers to full fill duties essential.

And kindly note that that was not, i noticed same situation at various places like the street lamps near where my sister and i stay. unfortunately i didn't take any notes of all the places and the time that the street lamps were carelessly on without switching them off on time.

who should take the responsibility of that duty?

what decision you have so far taken in order to save' Electricity Resources of the Country?

We cannot pay or compensate for what you are wasting. You cannot pick the option of 'power cut' since you take no action to save electricity.

Turn off unnecessary lights' this is the advice we hear most the time, but the responsible authorities do not follow what they say to others. please remember that there is less signs of rain , if you do not think of informing all private or public limited about this, entire country will be in trouble and in dark.
