What do you think that I am doing or writing, do you think
that I just wrote a menu for this region we live? I have a feeling that I don’t
‘just write’ things. I am trying to be honest with what I write. Even if I mention
a name there is a reason. I don’t like to play around with words or sentences.
I am fully confidence in what I am writing. So if you take the term ‘confidence’ it is an
essential essence for life. You need to do anything or something or one thing
with total confidence. And you need to represent your ‘confidence’; you need to
represent what you say with confidence.
Say anything you say with confidence. Consider ‘confidence’ as your life partner. All
others you can consider as your ‘siblings or as your relatives.
When it comes to relatives there are many sayings that local
people use in their day today conversations (colloquial language)
Let me take an example
‘Neyai, meeyai,
weyai okkoma eka kulaye’
The relatives, rats, weyas (I don’t know the English term for
weya – unfortunately) all belong to one ‘caste’, knowing that you need to
improve your confidence in what ever you do. If you can understand their roles
at least to certain extent then you can understand what I say.
Let me return to what I was discussing previously, the MENU
that I wrote at the beginning of this essay.
So the Menu I wrote is not just specifically wrote thinking of
the SAARC region because if you see it forgetting the SAARC region and going or
moving beyond the region you live you can see that I have written ‘French fries’
as well. I should have written an OMELETTE but I didn't.
Omelette is not a strange thing to this cuisine full world , right?
Often you have to forget the originality of the cuisine because now in this world you get
everything ‘mixed’. I don’t think that it is universal that a Syrian woman has
to marry only a Syrian Man or an Afghan Man should marry or must marry only an
Afghan woman. Somehow if you forget the ‘wars
within’ other than the wars that people have started against traditional empires
and moving towards a new empire still it is an empire whether its new or old an
empire is an empire.
Why not cross borders …………..
Forget what you have to answer before you cross any borders to
the officers who inquire or ask too many questions, guarding their borders. (inspired
by an article ‘The Syrian Bride’(siriyanu manmali)’ published on ‘Rawaya weekly
Paper/ last week End)
I believe that crossing borders is not just crossing a
geographical entity or premises. When you cross a border you take away or going
away with what you saw, experienced, who you are, local ethics, norms, values,
customs and traditions. I totally believe that when you begin to live in
another geographical area, things you carry or journeying with get mixed with
the norms and customs or everything of that area, easily.
So the French can easily experiment an ‘Indian Thanduri
Chicken’ in any of the chances they get. It is marvelous to watch ‘Steven Spielberg’s
choice in another direction, different to previous. The movie is a good example
for an Ala Carte of confidence and cross border ‘essences of life’.
Some things are ‘border less’, barrier less. It is not just
the tastes or flavours of life. It is not about just trying to own a premise that
someone else owns. It is about ‘confidence’.
It is not about ‘stars’ you‘ll get for your star class enterprise
it is about ‘confidence that takes you towards the aim of your life. A cook
becoming a Chef is not an easy task in this modern world. Specifically this
world is full of various, cuisines, flavours, tastes, spices and restaurants, plus
completion, mind you. So then your task won’t be easy Yet , let confidence
become the fuel partner for life.
I don’t think that the French President will oppose, even if
the French’ begin to eat (or have they already started after watching the journey
of Hassan and his family)Thanduri chicken and sometimes Alu Parata or Laddu in
an evening. If the President respect the rule of the world (unanimous) ‘Universal
Peace and Harmony, he can’t oppose, I believe.
Margareta and Hassan can go in search of mushroom in any
forest together. Healthy competition brings not only confidence but also’
Harmony in any cuisine you cook in the Family front ( or in any newly or oldly
started restaurant) and others, along with Margareta, Bonita, Careem, Karuna,
Muditha, Khan, Upeksha, Mehetha, Francis, paul Frank, Molly and Dolly, Elizabeth,
little prince George, Victoria, Prince of Jordan, Pillay , Lalitha, why not
Vaico too can join them ?
How about making a delicious NON POISONOUS dish together as a
TEAM?
Lets have bit of back ground music if the French don’t like
too much noise, we can have a sitar Music of ‘Ravi Shankar’ Family. And there are other Shankar’s in SI , I am
sure you have met them other than A. R. Rahman, How are you Sir?
And if you have tasted Mani Ratnam before not only in Bombay or
in Delhi or in San Francisco, Washington DC , I am sure you’ll be amazed with essence
he uses to favour the richness of ART of human minds.
You might not stop just saying ‘china china aasai’, Maama
Kallu Maama, Karupa than enwangada puricha colora (NO! sorry it is Orange)
Spices , flavours everything they use with full confidence.
Let’s make not a movie but a real globe where there are no
borders.
Where there are no guards that inquire your Nationality or
identity.
Where there Syrians (ladies) who don not cry seeking to cross
borders they like
once I asked a person who appeared before me asking some money
or some food if my memory is accurate what I immediately did was asking him a
silly question though I understood his intension,‘do you have your identity
card’ I thought you must refrain from asking for identity cards because Sri
Lankans no longer need any identity cards checking during their ‘ societical movings’,
associations
So………………….
Hassan was not a chef but a cook at the beginning. Margareta
was not a cook (I don’t know the feminine word, is there a one?) but was a girl
who was trying to become a chef de cuisine in their words, classically acclaimed
Classical; The term has something to do with ‘class’es but
there are other classes that I am often like to explore, again other than the
class that Marx and others described.
Some classes according me is an empty thing nothing else.
Ones’ class of thinking, class of blaming, class of attitudes,
class of idiotics, class of illusions, class of perceptionally un –touchable (
this group is exclusive to the group suneetha, sopaka, ridee and wlangangoda
belonged to) those too explains a lot about ‘essences of life’ but only thing
is most think that top class is the only class that should sustain in this
world.
Oh! Never ever say before your public that ‘ you can’t do
anything about it’ when an outsider say something about your own borders ( I hate
this word) or premises of origins , place of living, your ownership ( legal or
otherwise)
I believe it is good if the Norway Government just think of
starting an investigation on ‘how, when, why, the peace mediator (??????) Eric
Solehiem supported LTTE financially like the President Inquired in public.
To tell you frankly I don’t think not only Benjamin Franklin
but also Francis in our village would not agree with what he did.
We can’t just stay quite when just because people have
different taste buds and essences they like very much. Some things in this
world are poisonous, not good to taste.
So for a border less society, globe it is truly essential, don’t
you think so?
There are Hassan’s and Margareta’s in this capable
knowledgeful world who has started their journeys in their preferred way or
perhaps using the chances that they get, or using the opportunities that the
society has provided for them, became successful in their efforts.
Sometimes it is good to hang around a bit in history.
I am not a person who believes that I must do what all others
do. I like to do something that others have not done before, if possible.
But I know sometimes such thinking is little risky. You never
know how others response to you yet but we sometimes like to taste the risk.
Risks are not only essentials ( you sometimes feel) but also
an essence for life.
If Mari Curi Refrain from taking risks the scientific world we
live are not this rich in sciences but poor instead.
So when it comes to French my mind ties with the very
revolutionary ‘French revolution’ of the era (write the year).
Revolutions, Renaissances, essences are pluses for life,
You know what happened after all the mentioned and not
mentioned revolutions in pre or post Medieval or any period of the world we
live with regard to every essences of life of all gender. What changes you can
observe within the political, cultural, economical, frame works of this world
we live.
I believe, one’s achievement totally or 99 .99% depends on
‘confidence’, dedication, AIM
For a chef winning or achieving life targets no magic but
creativity, confidence, aim, dedication, and fear less, that is truly for a
border-less globe.
Huge sound of applause for ‘ the Team’ the movie that discuss
the essences of life in a brilliant way.
