HAPPY BIRTHDAY dear SILUMINA !

VERY HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU - Dear SILUMINA !

SILUMINA is a weekend paper that comes to us every Sunday and you can meet him on line what is your preference i do not know you can even meet him at any of the selling outlets Island wide.  so he is celebrating his 83rd birth day. i know what you are thinking now but  let me assure you one thing ' 83 is a very young number' though all the 83 ones are talk like big and share very big things covering many any topics and subjects history to modernization. so you have been doing a very good job dear young gentleman please continue the same Oh we do not mind to accept little , little changes but staying within your structure and respecting it we know that too.

i was thinking what to give you as a gift fortunately i did not cook our lunch today therefore i had to buy my lunch from the OUSL canteen you know all the wrapping papers always help in many different ways. the lunch came wrapping with a one complete page of a good observer ( Sunday Observer) generally i like to read something while eating so this methods the canteen friends use to wrap our lunch i like very much. so this page called 'MONTAGE' gave me a news of a very good girl a good reader i am sure the little writing was about a girl who ( the page was dated - October 21, 2012) has done a marvelous piece of work though the news is little old i thought that it is good to be re shared or remind the same news again to the foot path friends as well because it hold some especiality.

at the time that the news was published and shared with their readers she was just 12 years old. let me use the observer words to give you a clear view on what i am trying to say pr how they have shared the news. easy for you than trying to understand my English Singlish :)

 following is the news

A Grade - 7 student of Yashodara Balika Vidyalaya , Colombo, Hashini Chethana Devmini weerasinghe has created history by writing a meaningful single Sinhala sentence, using all 56 letters in the Sinhala Alphabet

let me congratulate this little girl first before i write any further though this my wishes goes to her wrapping with my warm wishes  i like to think that it is never too late to wish anyone success.

so my effort here is to join this two news of Silumina celebrating his 83 rd birthday we all know that NEWS PAPERS ARE VERY GOOD TEACHERS i do not know whether to call them informal teachers that works and teach their students of all types and all age categories on various subjects and fields their very own unique ways and in addition to that the news of this little girl who has created 'first Sinhala sentence with 56 letters'.

our children are brilliant and very innovative what is the support that they get from other sources apart from the formal institutions and from their parents, grand parents and friends  the news papers are a very good sources of learning.  News papers has a lot work to do to improve their knowledge lanes as well as their thinking we are so happy that they have no issues doing that and they are currently doing it.

language no matter whether its English or Sinhala, the papers has a responsibility i am so happy the space that almost all the papers have allocated for kids and to uplift their levels of education.

Silumina is a Sinhalese paper so the students can learn many things by reading papers weekly or Daily( Extra reading is always advisable to get more knowledge apart from formal books provided for them. not just to improve their language ( standard and grammatically correct) skills but also to get good views about the country they live and about the world.

here i am not just talking about my country though i got two examples that is very close to me for a better world the newspapers ( print media) can inject ( pardon me for  unprofessional English) kids, children good heart thinking, human ways of treating and respecting people, never support any terror always support and respect own people ( own is a huge word it is not stick to any one particular ethnic group OWN = ONES COUNTRY and its people. ) though we experiencing the peace and harmony your role is not over yet i know that you all know that and that is what you all have been doing all these years of history of our news paper world i just wrote for my own good.

So each and every paper has a huge responsibility in order to educate their readers of all categories VERY INCLUDING THE CHILDREN . i know that all ( All papers) of you have understood that VERY WELL.

so let wish both of you (Silumina and the little girl) very good luck! and safe learning!

responsibilities never ends in a way it is very good.

i have responsibility, you have a responsibility we all have responsibilities no one can talk about rights with out really understanding the word 'RESPONSIBILITY.
