Watch out a PIT (unsafe) Ahead!

Watch out a pit ahead!!!!!

Walking is an exercise a good exercise a very cheap way to burnout all your health hazards; also this is brilliant to inhale some fresh air especially, early in the mornings or after sunset.

If you learn to walk a lot and drive a little I am sure your mind and brain works better. When you are driving you only use your brain but when you are walking you use both body and the mind at the same time. Walking is a whole body exercise.

Your hands, your legs, your eyes, you need to move everything systematically or the rhythm of walking will bring some rhythm to your lives, your body needs to take turns,  you can’t go straight all the time. You need to quickly cross the road; you need to use your brain every time you go crossing the yellow lines ‘(the kaha ira) before you decide to cross the kaha ira turn your head right and then to left and then cross. Careful of the people that don’t see the kaha ira due to their visionary issues and please try be pardon them.

In this walking …….You definitely will have to stop somewhere for a moment or so why? You are not the only road user keep that in your mind. You sometimes have to let the vehicles to go. Passing you and the other passengers, the travelers, they may in a hurry to sign before the boss mark the red line.

It is good if we can walk carrying nothing in our hands then your body may feel lighter and relaxed. Leaving some heavy stuff behind gives you fruitful results in this walking I believe.

You will encounter the places where people dump their daily stocks of garbage (Kunu) the notices that are so tightly holding the walls, the ‘kurutu gee’ of the walls, those things tells you stories written in the inner minds of some people, their sufferings, their choices, their wills etc. You can learn things from them so easily so get the maximum results of your ‘walking’

The busy faces and the minds of the shop owners along both sides of this busy road are unforgettable. And the minds of those handsome people I assume have completely forgotten the pits that are smiling at them, facing their busy buildings.   Don’t walk during dark my advice.

The vehicles parked here and there the beautiful ladies, the handsome men, lovely kids waving and smiling to you sitting in the front seat or sitting back of the vehicle. Just look at the new numbers of the cars surely you can say things just by reading the numbers of the cars. Forget the numbers though you feel it is sometimes good to written them on your mind. If you notice ‘inside’ of those vehicles you may notice ‘red garlands’ swinging here to there according to the rhythm of the natural wind showing us the results of their religious faiths.

The garlands that generally touch the sacred statues of the Vishnu Kataragama, Natha Pattini are these things teach us things?   Why are we keeping them in our vehicles? What are you really expecting?

It is so wiser to walk and drive carefully. Don’t forget you need to do it with a very a conscious mind ladies and gentlemen and, and in a very relaxed way. Who am I to advise you No! But still I like to remind you these things.

I, most of the time stay at home observing you all driving and talking to your buddy who is sitting comfortably in the next seat that is bad don’t use your phones while driving. You may not notice the pits ahead.

You can observe faces. Some smiles at you and some make faces, some widen their eyes looking at you ‘who is this?”, some just look the other side, and some for sure never have heard the meaning of ‘smiling’. Some may look at you in an arrogant way …….
What are you staring at ha?

Your side mirrors are they very clear and (clean) do you think that your eyes caught everything that you wanted or expected?

What about the pits? Have you not noticed the pits, the little, little but very sharp stones? Those things may harm the wheels of your car?

Careful dear ladies and gentlemen you may meet the road robbers. Hide if you have something so precious in your hands.

Even if you are walking having a purpose in your mind just let the other co travelers to move ahead if you are not in a hurry to reach your destination. It is so good to let them go walking, passing you. You get a little chance to observe their way of walking and the different styles of walking believe me those things teach you life. But if you think that their style of walking is unnatural never laugh at them. Laughing at people never a recommended good habit yet let me tell you one thing for sure ‘walking is a good habit’

It is good to look at people’s faces and exchange a smile once in a way. If they accept your ‘friendliness’ will return to you with a lovely smile no doubt but my advise to you is to look down not because you find something valuable on your way to home, the boutiques, or to work etc just for your own sake of escaping from unnecessary troubles.
Do you know why?

You will realize the importance of such things, walking noticing that are there on the ground not only if you decide to walk a little along the main path from Jubilee post to Pitakotte or any of the paths you have chosen to walk.

You may encounter few pits, or more pits, little square shaped ones; these are the open areas of the main drainage system. Beneath it is not small. Do not try to peep in to those pits children. Filthier, smelly, stagnant if you are not used to such things you may feel uncomfortable, I understand why these things are there but what I don’t understand here is the purpose of having those things open.

Let us assume for ‘cleaning purposes’ NO!

Big or small pits are pits. Not protect us all do not forget that. The damage if you will fall in to one of those you can not measure. How can you say whether you will face minor injuries or major ones? Who can tell those things?

It is advisable to walk eyes wide open

Some may push you in to a pit in this walking of yours or some might help you to come out of a pit. Some may secretly plan to push you in to pits knowing the volume of the damage so to avoid or to walk escaping such things one needs to walk with a conscious mind.
Looks are deceptive I always believing that. You may see a pit looks like a closed one or one covered with a concrete something. You may decide to walk across that or just take a detour avoiding the pit. It is your mind who commands you sometimes not the brain. There are things that you can’t decide suddenly or quickly just looking at things from the surface.
Careful!
Things are not always smooth or soft and silky.

Just don’t believe what I say see it and feel it yourself. Just try walk a little getting down from your wheels you will see all these in your own eyes.

Sometimes it is good to walk alone or drive alone so that you get time to have look at the things that you may have missed earlier. Just try this out.
And experience the difference

It is good to walk alone sometimes then you may get more chances to you’re your eyes here to there from here to somewhere or to everywhere even within the limited space allocated for your sight seen, your eyes may capture different things who knows.
You need to be patience in everything you do. True.

Let me walk more distance from here and I ‘ ll let you know how I really feel all these times of my walking along this path that leads to pitakotte from jubilee post.

There are pits both sides of the road. Who is responsible for maintaining the pits? The maha sabha or the podi sabha I don’t know really. They are useful but you know not every way or always right?

This little distance of walking from Jubilee Post to Pita Kotte you may see a universe. You find no red crosses there but green crosses, you can rest a little and have a elawalu rottee at any places you prefer if you think the ladies now a days don’t prefer ‘kola kenda but vines or beers there is a good place for you to have a meaningful break in the mornings.

Iron and timber for your dream house…..
Are you planning to travel across nations?

Walk further don’t forget to avoid the pits in this walking. If you turn left if you wish to worship and meditate a little at a temple. And please don’t ask anything that our budu saadu can’t give. Go rounds, once, thrice or seven times around the Bo tree with a peaceful mind but don’t let your mind go elsewhere and try to fill your hearts only with peaceful thoughts…..

‘May all beings be happy and healthy!
Sabbe satta bhaawanthu suki tatta!

Proceed……..  and turn right if you like, stop a little there and pray a little ask what you want let’s pray for ‘peace and harmony’ I ll join you.

Have you forgotten your old grannies and daddies they all will be waiting at ‘Sanhinda’ turn your car towards there or walk towards that place and say ‘hi’ at least and come back. You will win the day. Believe me.

Don’t waste time giggling at Cargills hurrryyy!! get what you want and proceed.

Which way you want to proceed from there? Turn your right if you like or left if you think the road is better or go straight if you wish is that the way that you have chosen but try to be apolitical.

Safe walk and safe journey …….
