Tunneling and traveling >>>>>>>>>

Tunnels and travels are a set of words that very well goes together or I would say they know each other very well 

I am not quite sure what engineering knowledge that the tunnel miners used in the past before or at the very beginning of all engineering revolutions

Tunnels miners; I know that they should equipped with all the tools require to build a tunnel

I don’t know how they dealt with those huge firm rocks in order to provide some space for those who are very fond of journeying towards anywhere or to everywhere through a tunnel

Who ever wants to move ahead, passing a tunnel should come out of the tunnel to encounter some light until then the person would not see any light or meet any other surrounding    

Tunnel is the period of darkness of ones traveling or journeying along their preferred paths or that they have chosen to travel, towards their final destinations of aims and objectives

I can imagine tunneling was never easy especially during an era that the technology or the engineering was not that improved or marveled the brains of innovators

In the past building tunnels or tunneling were inevitable or unavoidable; people needed paths and roads to travel towards their preferred destinations though before they encounter the technology of ‘tunnels’ most the travelers had to use their feet and travel through foot paths or gravel paths not all of them had owned carts and carriers   

For any traveler clear modern roads are something that are very important which softens the journeys of the travelers of now a days

I can’t think of the miners who were using any ‘gal bore’ or dynamite at that time to find the needed or required space to build a tunnel for any traveler who wishes to proceed any further

Traveling along ones preferred destination until they reach their aimed destination, one can not complete within one or two days similarly clearing a path before starting any traveling is not easy or can not be done within a day or so

One may meet rocks that perhaps may block ones paths but now a days any of such things not claimed as ‘barriers’ or bars that slower ones journey because of the newest technology or knowledge of engineering dynamiting is something very easy these days or there may other modern ways of building paths without keeping any tunnels  

But in the past, the rocks stood before most the travelers or they were the barriers for travelers who were trying their best to travel further in the paths of their aims and objectives

Building a tunnel was the only option that they saw

But now the technology is improved no need to build any tunnels I guess along the travel lanes of travelers

There are various tunnels I am not talking about such tunnels

Some tunnels allows the travelers to have safe travel those are passenger tunnels made mostly in the midst of the big towns for walkers to walk here and there so easily and safely

Some tunnels I know they build for huge and various projects as they required depending on the need of the projects

In the past, the travelers needed a bit more time than today to travel further or proceed ahead

Not only they required a lot of time to complete their planned journeys but also had to face such difficulties before they reach their targeted destinations

I know even all the governors back then used no jets or personal helicopters to reach their servants, poor or no developed technology barred those their travels

I am not aware of time frames that the tunnel miners required to complete building a tunnel, what equipments they used then what percentage of labour force they needed those things too I am unaware of

In some of those road buildings, the miners couldn’t completely destroy the rocks to build a smooth road way, allowing the traveler to travel smoothly along the road ways they like, without going through any tunnel of darkness that was how all was set in the surroundings  

In a way it was good that they kept the tunnel heads for traveler to experience some darkness in order to understand the difficulties of traveling or journeying towards their preferred destinations, especially when the traveler is traveling through a tunnel 

We still use the tunnels that old tunnel miners built in the past and that still allows the modern or semi modern travelers like youngsters to experience some tunneling and understand the importance of passing through every phase without detouring or using any short cuts, without failing to face them

Try to face any tunnel or darkness, that it self gives any traveler required strength to live a life

I don’t think that firmness is something that is useful or applicable anytime or every time in any traveler’s life dealings

They may experience darkness but soon they have the certainly of reaching light because all these darkness or difficulties are not permanent  

After every phase of darkness there is a phase of light, inevitable

Journeys and travels are like some travel phases are full of darkness, some might meet unavoidable stations, meeting other paths; this too not strange at all or and you always gets the chance to meet other travel partners who may heading towards their preferred destinations

Any man or a woman has the liberty to change their travel paths now than before in the past

Why

There are plenty of optional paths one can see if they prefer to travel along any of those such paths that is thanks to the very modern technology  

Take a train for instance how many divided but connected with technology ‘space boxes’ available within, if you are to travel through a tunnel and if you have chosen a path where you would meet some tunnels no point thinking of a space where you can avoid the tunnel and proceed

In life travels or journeys it is little difficult to avoid some tunnels but it is not impossible one may have to change the path that they have chosen to travel  

I think it depends on the path you have chosen to travel. I don’t think that every path is mapped or built with tunnels between stations. There are smooth paths that you never encounter any tunnels the travelers now a days have the choices, many choices I would say they can easily avoid tunnels and use an alternative path

Now the youngsters and children have the opportunities to experience various paths depending on their choices or preferences

Jets are an easy and a faster mode of traveling than traveling through a tunnel on the ground . When the traveler journeying through a tunnel travel time required meeting the preferred or aimed destination is longer 

There is a difference between tunneling and jetting when it comes to traveling

Though one will have to travel through a tunnel of darkness, the traveler may experience some rhythm during the whole period of journey

So during these tunneling, perhaps, the traveler gets opportunities to understand the difference between darkness and light. Firstly the traveler needs to understand that there are two elements called darkness and light in ones life

Then only the traveler can easily study the two elements of life above mentioned in a broader way

When you are jetting you get less chances to experience various things of life and you can’t  get a wider picture of your surroundings

Why

This jetting will fasten your journey allowing you to complete your travel within a shorter period of time that too is a result of a modern technology( not applicable to everything though)

These sometimes lengthening the distance between men and women of this earth   

You experience no traffic when you are jetting but when you are walking or taking other alternative travel strategies that would slower your walk or drive. When you are no jetting, think for a minute, during these small, small stoppages at traffic lights or busy passenger ways you get plenty of chances to meet at least a single man or a woman or other pedestrians,  a day and exchange a smile share a few words, no matter even if you don’t know them or have met them before or have talked for hours earlier

It is refreshing to meet unknowns sometimes and share few words at least, during on and off of ones journeying 

There are evidences that during these traveling through tunnels, people have lost their valuables

Why, reason is darkness 

During these dark phases of ones life it is easy for thieves to steal the things, valuables of others

Those are the features of darkness, only no comfort or less comfort one can imagine and plenty of difficulties are possible

During these your tunneling you may not see others or the surrounding very clearly unless you travel well prepared taking some equipment to have some light

During these your dark phase or tunneling you may not see others but others may very well see you there is that difference and possibilities too

What if you have to face some fuel loses, difficulties in wheeling, unexpected or sudden stoppages exactly at the point of tunneling, you need to be prepared for such occasions during any of your journeys

Sometimes during these tunnels of darkness you get less out side help or you may get more than you expect but preparedness is essential

Just look back or look at the people who sits before you or who is seating next to you, around you, perhaps you might think that it is only you who travels passing these tunnels of life those who are on the same train with you, those who traveled before you and they, me, and the travelers who are traveling through these tunnels at present or right now they too may experience the same

Darkness is not something that is specific to certain or specific to set of men or women who live in this earth.  Experiencing certain period of darkness during any traveling one may have experience sometimes is inevitable. Traveling through any phase of tunnel depends on the length of the tunnel that the travelers are traveling through      

Some tunnels are not very lengthy so one does not have to stay in the darkness for very long but only for few minutes or so

I am not aware of the tallest or the lengthiest tunnel of this universe that are very rich in all modern high ways

Some tunnels I know are full of all modern facilities but not here though, those are different tunnels than the tunnels that we have here made by some time ago by our people, using their labour but under commandments and technology of the different nations

And these days’ travelers have resting places very modern and comfy only thing that the traveler need today is some more money in their wallets or a credit card that has not expired or invalid during their traveling period or during their journeys. Those days the travelers only had ‘ambalam’ the beggar’s rest places some would define it but travelers resting place just to rest for few hours or more than hours and a pin thaliya or pan thaliya ( the water stored pots) along the path for travelers to aid their thirst during their tiring traveling  until they reach their  gama or nuwara

I don’t think that we need to build the darkest or lengthiest tunnel of the universe here in our country what we need is to move ahead facing all the challenges and threatens of outsiders – that sometimes shows no sense or use or very poor in arguments and proceed 

We all of us can proceed avoiding the tunnels of darkness and stay happy and live healthily !
