Women are known as
soft and beautiful inn the literature of
all types, in the hearts and minds of all, women hold a special place
The world is different
now compared to then
The traditional roles
of women all over the world have taken over some other positions
The world is
changing rapidly and faster than ever before not only the roles and
responsibilities of the women also roles of positions of all human beings ,
including teens and youth have changed a lot. If you just take a single segment
of a history you can easily analyze how the roles and responsibilities have
changed
The world too is
expecting more from women not like those days.
Even the heads and tops of each family unit do not expect their ladies
to stay at home looking after children and doing household chores
I guess it is
truly rare that women stay at home without doing any thing to earn some money,
at present
If you take
various territories of the world it shows some at different segments of the
world history that is also true I am saying this thinking of the segmental changes
such as colonization, industrialization
and changes such as modernization, like in all other things in the world, they have changed economically , politically, culturally
and even in their thinking etc
I couldn’t find any women involvements in the
old armies of traditional kingship patterns here in Sri Lanka but I have read about
such women in the paragraphs of folklore of the country that women have fought
against some discrepancies, when injustice situations arose. But like the prince’s
getting all the relevant training from their masters princes too have received
some training specially when they were to become ‘ heir to the crown’ , that was
significant not only here but also in various paragraphs of the world history
Thinking of the
soft and beautiful facets of women now and then, these women that I talk of
today are different I don’t think that their palms or fingers are softer in
comparison to the other women forces of the labour fronts because they are
trained to hold the weapons when ever necessary
The weight of the training
that they are getting is not softer I guess
They are trained
to be harder, tuft and strong and they are now allowed to wear any lipsticks
blusher or nail polish like other women when they are to heading to work
But I know that
the women inside of the uniforms they wear are safer and protected where they
go the softer side of women appears when ever necessary
The tears are not
strange or an unwelcome thing for these women
I guess they were
not even allowed to take leave or stay with their family when ever they want to
because the duty was first. They had to assist and support each and every troop
that were in the war fronts
I am sad because I
didn’t write much to respect the job that they did during the war fronts and
are still doing
I guess lady
officers do not get adequate recognition from the others other than from their
own parties or groups, troops
I do not have the
list of lady officers who lost their lives during the war fronts and when away
from duty
I think any data
related to lady officers of all layers available at the relevant sections and in
the departments
I am thinking of
the percentage of women who is representing in such categories of jobs right
now
They were with the
health and safety groups, doctors, nurses, health assistants, they were in the
commanding positions, and they were in all fronts of all levels
And they were
protecting each and every citizen positioning in every important posts that
were in the country those days and even now
I guess, though they
did not hear the cries of their own children that were crying for mother’s milk
but of each and every child and adult who were trying to escape from the
terrorists back then
When ever they
rescue the suffered from the LTTE I can imagine of how their hearts felt seeing
the children and all men and women in trauma
I know, they are
one of the most encouraging parties to their own troops, forces (ARMY, NAVY,
AIR FORCE, DEPARTMENT OF POLICE)
