For ( strictly) Public Heroes, the In-Credible ....................

'Sabbe Pruthagjana Unmaththaka'

This is the truth that we know and have learnt from the 'philosophy of life', THE BUDDHISM'. Samma Sambududurajanan wahanse, the best physician ever, the best psychologist, psycho therapist ever, the 'revolutionist', 'environmentalist, social - analysts, already foretold predicted such 'situations' of a world where 'only the 'pruthagjana' live. mama harida ape hamuduruwane?

Sabbe ( 'all/ every' creature who have born in to this world, human and other, who can breath, feels things, who has the 'panchendriyan'( the five organs- ears, eyes, nose, tongue) to see, hear, feel the world are belong to this category   Pruthagjana (  those who have not attained or achieved 'Nibbana', 'Nirwana, the eternity, enlightenment, wisdom are called 'pruthagjana') we see things but we sometimes pretend we don't ( we go passing the pots, and 'youghut cups full of 'dengue breathing places thinking it is not our duty.
the things that i try to discuss below are not applicable to everything to everyone. but i am sure at least one of the things are applicable to our own lives and we are engage or support one of the things 'knowingly' or 'unknowingly'.

ears, we hear many things' gossips' we stop for a moment and want to listen on the other hand we hear' good conversations' we pretend that we don't hear anything. ' we feel' things if we don't suffer from any ailments like ' laduru' ( i can not remember the English word for this illness'- in the past people were so afraid of this illness before the world innovate a better 'treatment' for that. we pruthagjana are like that' we love our own lives' lives of the dear and near one than the lives of the others, our own people. so we do not try to feel the ' sufferings' of others, or the 'dengue patients unless we experience the same.

we have luckily gifted the 'nose' to feel the other things, fragrances, smells but we only attracted the 'fragrances' we avoid looking at or thinking of the 'badly smelly' things ( forget the 'human for a moment- if you think that there is such category) 'asking our selves' why and where'? 'THE DRAINAGE SYSTEM OF YOUR OWN HOUSE YOU LIVE
but only think of the 'kunu kaanuwa of the other house. i do not think that this is enough for us to understand most of the things

so i believe we all belong to this category 'sabbe pruthagjana'

so lets think of the complete saying ' Sabbe Pruthagjana Unmaththaka'

unmaththaka - the mad ( of this crazy world ( comparatively)- full of both good and bad things, people) - ( good and bad, praiseworthy and the blamable all these things are comparative)

so we all belong to this category 'one way or the other'

why? ' Sabbe Pruthagjana Unmaththaka' ( all beings are mad) this is the answer i am not a good translator but i am sure you will understand what i am trying to explain here in a better way than i do.

so the person who took away the life of your friend is one of the 'unmaththakas ( according to what i hear and read - the news etc) and he is in 'the worst category compared to most of us.

WE ARE all MAD' because'

- we do not think of cleaning the premises we live

- we only think of the 'kunu goda' (the loads of garbage) of the other person's entity or the premises, land than not trying to think of the kunu godawal of our 'houses'

- we do not think of the 'importance or the value' of a drop of water until when we experience the 'tragedy of ' drought'.

- we don't think of the value of the 'resources ' we own in our own villages, communities- the people, the CBO's etc and do not think of getting the maximum use of the people, their abilities.

- we are mad because sometimes we do not think of working as a 'team' and devalue sometimes the spirit of 'unity' and try support something else.

- we do not think of the 'power of our word power' that can be used for the sake of the 'people' for 'GOOD' but we try to use our words to harm someones' dignity, or to show the weaknesses of a person, group to the other world or to people outside to us. ( i am sure we can think of many examples recently experienced)

- we don't always think of the value of  'the services of others'

- not only the words' the technical knowledge' or the 'knowledge or the expertise knowledge on certain subjects we are good at ( including ones creativity- art and other) we don't think of using it for a better purpose, needs sometimes of our country.

so we belong to this category' sabbe pruthagjana unmaththaka'

further let me think of some other examples

 we are mad because

- we have the abilities to laugh at people and their weaknesses

- we sometimes thinking of ' getting the relevant bacteria from another country but we forget the 'viruses or the bacteria we have our own WITHIN. ( these viruses are different to the bacteria we expect from where sir ? CUBA?)

- we are also mad because we only stick to our good words and do not do anything 'PRACTICALLY'

- WE are MAD  because we 'do not understand' the value of the children of this world' ( here i am specifically focusing the 'CHILD rapist' )

- we are mad because we enjoy cutting down trees, harming our forests, the heritages we own.

- we mad because we think of 'building a house for 'elders' ( wedihiti niwaasa) why do we need to do so?

- WE ARE MAD BECAUSE WE ONLY THINK OUR 'RIGHTS' FORGETTING THE 'RESPONSIBILITIES'

so dear friends,
this is the never changing truth of life. whether we belong to 'private' or 'public' categories we are same and belong to this 'sabbe satta unmaththaka' category don't you think so?

so ........
do you think that we can forgive that particular person and and continue our work getting the maximum support from all the individuals, groups.

SO I LIKE TO BEG YOUR PARDON ON BEHALF OF THE PEOPLE OF THIS LAND, OUR COUNTRY, SRI LANKA AND I LIKE TO ASK YOU TO 'FORGIVE HIM' IF POSSIBLE AND LETS TRY TO FIND SOME 'LONG LASTING SOLUTION' FOR THE ISSUE, 'TOGETHER' ( WE CAN HAVE A BETTER DISCUSSION THAN POINTING OUR FINGER ONLY TOWARDS THE 'WEAKNESSES' OR THE UNMET, INCOMPLETE DUTIES OF OTHERS)

AND AS A CITIZEN OF THIS NATION I LIKE TO THANK ' ALL THE PRIVATE PARTIES ( APOLITICAL MAINLY)  - THE TELEVISION CHANNELS, THE MEDIA, ORGANIZATIONS ( GO AND OTHER), CBO'S - COMMUNITY BASED ORGANIZATIONS ETC)  THERE IS SOME 'WEIGHT' IN YOUR CONTRIBUTION. and thank you for understanding that this is not only a 'responsibility of a GOVERNMENT' IT IS A RESPONSIBILITY OF ALL CITIZENS.

THANK YOU for reading.
