'Topic of the 'Day' .....................

'firewood' to 'high priced 'gas' is a quite bit of a tiring journey i believe most of us had to engage in different battles of mind' from time to time. so these prices of gas some times direct the thoughts of our ladies from kitchen area to living room and i guess sometimes that ends in bed room the results generally 'unpredictable' i guess :). Before her thoughts reach from kitchen department to ' sharing every thing with love area' ( dining department) she sometimes phone her neighbors, parents( generally relates to may things 'the monthly salary of her husband' 'the qualities of husband' etc :), that is not the end point of discussion 'our friends' so with them we have some better or worst conversations. then arise the praiseworthy and the blamable 'the members of parliament' in to the conversations of all minds.

The busy cartoonists get their most valuable and gifted pen or drawing pencil and they draw their inner mind on a piece of paper. then some say 'aney hebatama meyalata owne nethi ekak nehane' ( there is nothing that they 'don't want' - to address,)health to education, bus to ships, harbors to airports, fruit to nut, chemistry to biology, poverty to entities, weather to feather, cement to clement, archeology to criminology, holande to Poland,  Norway to this way, Hollywood to Bollywood and to firewood, ministers to Westminster, Ants to elephants sometimes to fish, eggs to frogs, Prabha to pabawathi, Karan Johar to Hariharan,   Araliyata to Kekuliya, Sumathipala to Jothipala ....... my goodness i can write a whole book of the things that they like 'addressing'. I read every thing at 'mulpituwa' with Bandula sir ( Sorry this is Bandula Padmakumara) Sir is Araliya your 'loku duwa'('the eldest daughter') ?

You all went to 'araliya gaha mandiraya' leaving here at 'araliya mal aaramaya' that is alright we heard of good news. we are 'Happy' :)

Some busy house wives had to stop using 'firewood' for certain, certain reasons  and when 'gas' came as a friend of ladies all felt happy. environmentalists ( specifically) could breath freely and happily because people stopped cutting down trees for 'dara' firewood. ( Rubber dara and kela dara)  so this gas kept us away from most of the 'podi podi karadara' (hazards- minor).
so 'gas' slowly and  slowly became became one of the 'dominater'/s of the kitchen department and that became one of the major 'taking point' of parliaments, schools, game kopi kade, lindalanga sangamaya ( this is known as one of the village level meetings places of women, men( rarely) and other at the common well) and all other sangamaya ( societies, organizations)  at shopping malls and rice mills. Every where', 'all where' 'here and there' this becomes the 'topic of the day'. news channels have things to share, tele -katha ( talks) love to talk about gas katha forgetting all other katha. stages of 'politics' have very interesting stories, comments to share and speak. All katha (all talks) will be boring without gas katha for sure. when the prices of gas 'decrease' those katha stops for a while and goes to some other katha of something important. that is the nature of katha ( stories/ discussions/ popular talks)

we have to talk depending on the 'the world talks'. the prices can talk better than minds. when our minds start talking all sort of things the lists of requests the ministers get from the departments of kitchens 'are huge and long' then they had to prepare their talks and minds accordingly. what a 'changer' of a society.

let me think of 'bio gas' ( i guess that this is the correct word) for a moment. 'cow dung'   can be used for loads of things not only for better 'agriculture' but also for many other purposes, to produce 'bio gas' and that is a money saver. Desheeya kiripiti samagam' the local milk powder manufacturing companies what are they doing with such useful things if they maintain their own 'cattle farms' for kiri ( Milk)

depending on the space that are available in the home gardens they can engage in these activities and this can be a leeeetle bit of a solution for a big problem i believe. the cattle farmers can try this and i know at least few of them are currently practicing this in some of the areas.

'electricity' for 'cooking' is not a very good alternative thinking of many sides. "kelawara pitiya' is a 'hope' and a good 'alternative' of 'power' generation and that is a sort of a solution for today,  'electricity' is must save thing'

any other alternatives i am not aware of may be it is good to encourage people for such things that i previously discussed 'bio gas' to get a least relief for such 'price increasing' situations of many things. we generally don't look for 'vikalpa' - alternatives if we start thinking of the available resources of the country that can be used locally for better purpose for sure we will come up with many profitable and fruitful ideas'.  What do you say? Those things are environmental friendly i believe. Happy to see government's involvement on certain things for example to promote 'elakiri' ( cows milk) that is a good thing in various ways, to promote or uplift the situations of local cattle farmers etc and for 'healthy life for all'

Thank you dear minister/s for all the current price changes and we expect more actions from your departments and ministries.
